Hi Shane, You need to type this into Google:

site:how-2-do-stuff.com

This shows you which pages on a site have been indexed in google.

You have two different sub-domains which is bad - check

site:www.how-2-do-stuff.com

Comes up with different results so you're basically building two different websites in Google which waters down your effectiveness.

redirect www to without the www or vice-versa, type www.marketingforums.net in and see where it goes, you will get the idea :-)

Please read the Rules

Default Indexing And Searchable With Keyword Relevance

Dave,
My main keyword is how-2 for my site and when I put in this keyword I can't find my site anywhere. I am indexed in Google with other words but I don't know why how-2 isn't searchable especially when my site has this keyword all over the place. Do you know why that is? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

in order to get your website's pages indexed by Google you can perform a number of things, like article, press release submissions, Squidoo lens creations and so on. Keep performing them on a regular basis and avail the services from an expert company and see your website riding the rank paradigm faster.

Any reason why the keyword isn't showing my site on any of the pages in Google results? It shows in Yahoo. Thanks

I don't see it in Yahoo, there is more than a bit of competition:
search google for:

allintitle:"how-2"

you should have a good link structure within your site which passes lik juice to your important pages. also, you should build backlinks to other pages which have difficulty in getting indexed.

rapid indexing is a method which can also work

Ok, good to know. Thank you. I use Monopolinks to generate back links. Do you know of any more sources to use?

Thanks,
