Default Affiliate Marketing Sucks

I think affiliate marketing sucks, you are better off creating your own product and letting all the other affiliates promote it for you.

You need to have a good product anyway as a bonus if you want to make a sale.

I thought i would just put that out there and see what you think.

Hi Dave, perhaps as a master you are fine to say affiliate is sucks
but for some newbies sometimes it's hard to find an idea to create a product and affiliate it, some people make plenty of money from affiliate product and become super affiliate.

and when you have product and need affiliate marketer, would you say to your affiliate marketer that affiliate is sucks and tell them to create product and do own affiliate?

me for instance, I have a product (if you see my signature) and I need affiliate marketer and I will build affiliate system in the future and give 10% commission for the product they can sell. and of course encourage people to have their own business is good but you should do it with your own way and see it from each perception whether your perception or them (affiliate marketer)

just my 2 cents

I didn't say affiliate marketers suck - i just mean its a lot harder to sell someone elses product rather than your own, especially when you don't have your own product to give away as a bonus.

Super affiliates usually have their own products already, i don't know of many super affiliates that don't.

Its easy to create your own product if you are a newbie, just get a PLR products and improve it.

10% is a bit cheap, you need to attract people 40% or more would be better.

I'm not agree with you Dave. I love affiliate marketing programs and I make good money. Also is not important if you have your own product or not, you can have success in selling also with only others products!

Its a good way of gaining some cash but its a job at the end of the day. You are just a salesman for another company.

You are building someone elses business, not your own.

I hope you understand my point of view, look at clickbank - the people making real money have products, not the affiliates promoting those products.

At an estimate, in this day and age marketing is 90% of the product, yet you get 50% of the profits or less depending on the product.

The real guys making the money are hiring people to write sales letters, create the products and then sell them on clickbank.

There are more affiliates than anything else out there, what makes sense? Once the product is created you promote it a bit then once affiliates take notice you just sit back and do nothing - while guys like you make all the effort to sell it.

yes I know 10% is a bit cheap but my product price is variable from 229usd up to 799usd (highest price at this moment)
so I think got commission for 20 or 79usd per single product that affiliate made is quite lot since the product of business database is needed by every salesman such as credit card salesman, insurance salesman, or any kind of company that want to have a business list of their potential market.

I'm afraid if I increase the commission for affiliate marketer then I have to increase product price as well and I assume a potential customer will also think that the more commission percentage give to the affiliate marketer means the more cost of customer have to pay, if you see what I mean

just my 2 cents

i don't think affiliate marketing sucks. its a better start for beginners while thinking what products to sell.

Start your own web hosting - sell hosting and earn residual income - with no investment.

Default It's all about leverage

I endorse Dave's views that you've got to develop your own products sooner or later if you want to make serious money online. While being an affiliate to other people's products is a good way for newbies to make a start and gain experience, creating your own products and inviting other people to promote is the smarter option as you can leverage other people's efforts to build your own business the "lazy" way.
