Do you mean getting the emails written, or the actual service ie. aweber or getresponse ?

That actual service from a company. With software and the whole works.

I did that and don't recommend you outsource or get your own servers and software. Unless you have white-listed delivery you are going to have limited delivery. There are a good many really good bulk email services out there and for what they charge it really doesn't pay to outsource. I use eSenders.info and have for over 5-years. I like them; they work and do what they say so I will continue to use them. BTW - they really know email marketing and I have learned a lot from them. The only negative I have had with them is that my really large orders ( i.5-million to 3-million emails)takes longer than usual to go out especially if my HTML code is lengthy.

My idea is a little different. I'm a consultant. I help my client select an email marketing service based on their needs and also help them setup their campaigns. Once that's done, it's up to them if they want to manage themselves or continue paying me. In the long run, it is better if you could learn it on your own using your own email marketing account with a service and at the same time hire somebody to manage your campaigns if you don't have enough time. That way you stay in control.

In Internet marketing outsourcing is great, it saves you a lot of time but outsourcing for email marketing is not advisable. The reason is that you have to make a connect with the subscribers and make them trust you and this may happen with outsourcing

I think it is cheaper only. Cut complexity of email marketing. Add specialized resources whenever you need.

It is really cheap and these days you can find many providers, providing service initially for free, so you can easily exploit them
I will advice to get a service provider and do it yourself so that you can control it, else if u are short on bandwidth then get a consultant to do it for you.

The most important thing is to check the ISP reliability of that provider, if they don't have spam certificates then your most of the emails will end up in spam.
